Sandip Kumar Saha is an Associate Professor in the School of Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Mandi (IIT Mandi). He obtained his Ph.D. degree from IIT Delhi, India, and carried out postdoctoral research in the University of Canterbury, New Zealand. His research interest includes, performance based earthquake engineering, seismic vibration control, uncertainty modeling in dynamical systems, and design and assessment of structures under multiple hazards.

Dr Saha has published more than fifty research articles in the field of Earthquake Engineering in reputed journals, conferences, and has also edited two book volumes. He is member of several professional organizations, namely Indian Society of Earthquake Technology (ISET), Indian Association of Computational Mechanics, Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (USA), and currently serving as an associate editor of the Practice Periodical on Structural Design and Construction, published by ASCE. He has also guest edited a special issue of the ISET Journal of Earthquake Technology and a special issue of the Indian Concrete Journal.
