Varun secured the first position in the poster presentation competition at the recently concluded GEOHIM-2023 workshop. This prestigious event, jointly organized by the Central University of Himachal Pradesh and the Geological Society of India, served as a platform for showcasing cutting-edge research in Geodynamics and Natural Disaster Management. His presentation highlighted employing the spectral element method and the ANN function of Sharma et al., 2023, to simulate the time history of the 1905 Kangra earthquake. The 3-day workshop featured keynote talks by eminent scientists, including Padam Shri Dr. H.K. Gupta (Director, GSI), Dr. Sumeer Chopra (Director, IRS Gandhinagar), D. O.P. Mishra (NCS, MoES), and Dr. Himanshu Mittal (NCS).
