Delighted to inform that one of our M.Tech. in Structural Engineering students, Mr. Himanshu Rana, from School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (SCEnE) has secured a fully funded Ph.D. position in the Doctoral School at University of Technology of Compiegne, France. He will be working on the project “New multi-scale model for fatigue failure of composite structures under variable transient loads” for his three years of doctoral studies at University of Technology of Compiegne.

Himanshu’s M.Tech. research at IIT Mandi was focused on the development of floor response spectrum for multi-storied buildings using machine learning techniques under the supervision of Dr Sandip Kumar Saha, SCEnE. He is thankful to Dr Sandip Kumar Saha for his sincere support, motivations and advice throughout the M.Tech. programme and especially for this achievement.
