IIT Mandi, is organizing a 1-Week Workshop on FEM in Plasticity. A great and exciting opportunity for every professionals and students engaged in research, teaching and consultancy. Organized by the Applied Mechanics and Design Group, SCENE & School of Mechanical & Material Engineering, IIT Mandi

This workshop is organized to improve the understanding on the basic concepts of finite element method (FEM) and its applications to elasto-plastic behaviour of engineering materials. The workshop also gives an opportunity to the participants for enhancing their abilities on universal human values. The technical session will be organized in the morning slots. After lunch, there will be hands on session on the programming of FEM using MATLAB. In the evening, sessions of human values will be organized. This holistic approach not only aims to cultivate just the technical skills in individuals, but also provides an opportunity for participants to evaluate the problems of society in connection with harmony in the universe.
